Overwhelmed

First let me thank everyone for the well wishes and congratulations.  I am still in shock and gazing at my ring whenever possible. 
I’m discovering quickly how overwhelming getting engaged and married can be. 
We’ve narrowed down the date, but now CP has said- “My mom’s trade show is that month.  I need to check with her on the dates.”  That’s something you should have told me LAST night BEFORE I called the person we’ve decided on for officiating.  And when I asked you about the dates. 
I spoke to the church secretary today and got a long email with the wedding policy and reservation form.  Fortunately, the church is available on both dates we’ve got picked out and because we are planning out this far, we should be able to get what we want. 
My friend from high school who is a pastor in the Lutheran church (but not called to the one I belong to here) has agreed to officiate, but we still have to clear it with the pastor here.  I should be able to talk to him this weekend and settle that up. 
As soon as I have nailed down a date I will tell you all, but I don’t want to jinx it just yet.  And I’ll try not to bore you with details on here. 
Now I’ve got to get to some things done other than think about my wedding!
